“70 Years of Medical Journey • Communication for Better Future” – Patriotic Education Group Building of SCIMEA Successfully Held
SCIMEA

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th CPC Congress and the specific requirements of the Sichuan Association for Science and Technology, comprehensively strengthen patriotic education, commemorate the revolutionary martyrs, cultivate employee’s love for the Party and their patriotism, and further stimulate and improve the team vitality, on September 29, Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as the "SCIMEA") carried out a patriotic education group building program with the theme of "70 Years of Medical Journey • Communication for Better Future ", and organized a visit to the Jianchuan Museum, which not only helped the team with a deeper understanding the deeds of revolutionary martyrs and promoted their spirit of anti-invasion and anti- disaster, and but also enhanced the trust and cohesion among all members of the association.

Jianchuan Museum is located in Dayi County. It has opened more than 30 sections in the four series of anti-Japanese war, folk customs, red age and earthquake relief. In the  theme group building program of SCIMEA, the members visited three major museums including "Front Battlefield Museum", "Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War Museum" and "5.12 Earthquake Relief Memorial Museum".

The guide started by leading the members to visit the "Front Battlefield Museum", which briefly introduces the history of the Kuomintang government from 1931 to 1937 when it transitted from war avoidance to war declaration, and  regional battles led by some patriotic generals of Kuomintang. Through photos of long history and precious relics, it truly reflected the bravery and courage of officers and soldiers of the Republic of China in the frontal battlefields.

Then, the team was led to the "Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War Museum", where, through the Sichuan People's Anti-Japanese National Salvation Movement, bombing in Sichuan, and Sichuan people’s striding to the front battlefield, it gives a full demonstration on how Sichuan Army made up of three million people went to the front battlefields to fight against Japanese invaders. Furthermore, a variety of artistic means such as scene restoration, embossment, painting and multimedia, are adopted to present a strong visual impact, so that visitors can feel personally in the scene, by which they cannot help but respect those who shed their blood and sacrificed their life for the independence of the country, deeply feel strong patriotism, and cherish the happy life won through the patriots’ sacrifice.

Finally, the team followed the guide to visit the “5.12 Earthquake Relief Memorial Museum” and recalled the sad history of disaster relief 11 years ago with a heavy heart. During the visits, they saw many photos and objects to show how the people in disaster-striking area conduct self-relief, how the rescue team spared no efforts in the relief work, how leaders went to visited the disaster center, and how people all over China supported the citizens to rebuild their homes despite of great difficulties, where the great anti-disaster spirit was fully demonstrated. Visitors also deeply felt the strength and confidence of the Chinese nation in the face of disaster.

Through the visit and study at Jianchuan Museum, members of SCIMEA are encouraged to cherish the hard-won happy life today. It is believed that in the future, they can stick true to their mission and truly implement the spirit of patriotism into their own jobs.
