Internal Training | Interpersonal Relationships - Into the Hearts (I)
scimea

On May 27, 2019, Secretary General Zhang Mengfan of the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association brought the first special training session of the "Into the Hearts of the People" series to the colleagues in the Secretariat, sharing her personal experiences in interpersonal communication at work.

Secretary General Zhang indicated that, in interpersonal communication, it is necessary to attach importance to four basic points: people-oriented, confidence building, empathy and mutual support.

In terms of people-oriented, Secretary General Zhang mentioned that different people have different personal traits, growth backgrounds, hobbies and interests, thus getting aware of and understanding the needs of others, and gaining the attention and trust of others are the key in this respect; in terms of self-confidence , one needs to always maintain an equal and confident attitude, so as to avoid the adverse impact of negative emotions such as nervousness on work and communication; in terms of empathy, as each person chooses words and deeds from his/her own starting point, it is necessary for one to learn to put himself/herself in someone else's shoes, calm down and analyze as much as possible, and try to understand why others did what they did; while in terms of mutual support, she remarked that mutual help and support is the basic starting point for maintaining a healthy, equal and cooperative relationship, and this basic starting point is the prerequisite of the other three aspects.

Next, she pointed out that on the basis of fully studying the above four points, the staff members of the Secretariat should learn more about the international situation and abide by social ethics; should strictly observe the rules and regulations of the Association, should pay attention to details and be self-disciplined; should thoroughly sort out the processes in each work and form a closed loop; and should develop the learning and thinking habit of "Regardless of gain or loss, it is growth". Only in this way, can big-picture thinking, compliance thinking, streamlined thinking, detailed thinking, logical thinking and “gain” thinking be gradually nurtured.

In the end, all the participants shared their ways and tips during interpersonal communication. In the heated discussion, the training session came to an end.
