On the evening of February 7th, 2020, the third batch of Wuhan aid medical team from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, a member of Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association, has arrived in Wuhan. The following is a brief description from the medical team nurses, revealing the warmth and perseverance in their ordinary daily life. Hold on, angels in white!
The main task of Wuhan aid medical team of West China Hospital in the first two days of their arrival is training, training, training! Teachers from National Health Commission and the first two batches of support team came to their hotel to explain the medical knowledge related to COVID-19 and the current prevention situation in Wuhan. The top priority is to make sure that everyone master the process and order of putting on and taking off protective suit. Some points of argument were solved after the return of the first batch staff in the afternoon.
Sure enough, any theory needs to be put into practice under any circumstance! Our protective measures must be adapt to the ward settings of local hospital to effectively protect our team members from exposure! The entire hotel was reset by nurses for the purpose of epidemic prevention. The first thought after returning to the hotel room will never be fall asleep, but immediate decontamination! It is very necessary to protect the public and personal hygienic environment!
In the critical period of fighting COVID-19, it is the time to test the interdependent relationship between the individual and the collective. Protecting oneself is protecting everyone in the team! Aid materials of social donations arrived in the evening and each of us received some daily necessities and a thick down jacket. We deeply felt the greater guarantee given by the hospital and the spring-like warmth from our fellowmen, which is enough to show the determination of the whole nation to support Hubei fighting the epidemic! The medical team of West China Hospital is not alone. What we get is "the best dragon scale of the village".
