In order to further strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, a member unit of SCIMEA, and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) of CAS, create a high-level innovation platform, establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, promote the overall discipline construction of the hospital, and enhance the comprehensive scientific research strength of the hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College applied for the establishment of a municipal academician (expert) workstation in Nanchong on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the founding of the hospital.
On the afternoon of May 16, 2019, Nanchong Academician (Expert) Workstation Joint Conference Office organized the third-batch municipal academician (expert) workstation review meeting in the new district of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, and conducted an expert review on the academician (expert) workstation of Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College.
Zhao Yuliang, academician of CAS and director of NCNST, Shan Muzhen, member of Standing Committee of Nanchong Municipal Party Committee, secretary of Political and Legal committee of Nanchong Municipal Party Committee, member of Party group of municipal government, Zhang Yong, Party secretary of North Sichuan Medical College, Chen Chunying, researcher of National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Gu Zhanjun, researcher of institute of high energy physics of CAS, Liu Xuerong, Party secretary and vice president of Nanchong Association for Science and Technology, professor Zou Quanming, chairman of the expert review committee, director of national engineering research center for immunological biological products, and director of the biopharmaceutical teaching and research office of Army Military Medical University, commissioner of expert assessment committee, members of the academician (expert) team of Zhao Yuliang, member units of the joint conference office of the academician (expert) workstation of Nanchong, responsible person of the municipal health and wellness commission, all leading group members and middle level cadres of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College participated in the starting meeting of the review work. The meeting was presided over by Xie Jianping, president of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College.
Shan Muzhen, standing committee member, was entrusted by Song Zhaohua, secretary of Nanchong municipal committee of CPC, and Wu Qungang, mayor and deputy secretary of Nanchong Municipal Party Committee, to address the opening meeting. It is hoped that the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College and North Sichuan Medical College will give full play to the strong advantages of the academician (expert) team by virtue of the high-level innovation platform of academician (expert) workstations, and actively carry out major scientific and technological research, high-level personnel training, and scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges, continuously improve the core competitiveness and the ability to serve regional economic and social development, actively build regional high-level medical universities and high-level medical centers to accelerate the construction of the “the second city in Chengdu-Chongqing greater region” and the provincial economic sub-center, and make new and greater contributions to the development of science, education, culture and health in Nanchong.
In his speech, academician Zhao Yuliang pointed out that building the academician workstation in our hospital and in Nanchong is "insignificant", while, at the party and country level, it is "significant" to more clearly adhere to the innovation-driven development, comprehensively enhance the ability and level of scientific and technological innovation, and strive to build an innovative country and a world-class science and technology power, which needs all scientific and technological workers to work for it; It is hoped that the academician (expert) team and the hospital expert team will closely combine basic research and clinical research, take nano biological medicine as the research and development focus, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and jointly build a greater "concentric circle"; the scientific and technological achievements of academician (expert) workstation should be actively transformed into clinical applications, serving the common people, benefiting them, and giving full play to "greater worth".
In his speech, Zhang Yong said that academician Zhao Yuliang’s decision of setting up his first academician (expert) workstation in the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College is of great significance to the development of the North Sichuan Medical College and its affiliated hospital. Academician (expert) workstation of affiliated hospital is the first academician (expert) workstation established by the university. The whole school will fully rely on the platform of workstations to realize the interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation, increase the introduction and cultivation of high-level talents, accelerate the cultivation and output of high-level scientific research results, and strengthen the study and research of cutting-edge medical treatment technologies, enhance the core competitiveness of the school and make new and greater contributions to the promotion of the "Healthy Sichuan" and "Healthy China" strategies.
At the review meeting, Li Jingdong, vice president of our college, made the presentation and oral defense. Chen Chunying introduced the general situation and overall scientific research strength of NCNST. After reviewing the academicians (experts) workstation of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, the experts of the review committee agreed that the academician (expert) workstation of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College met the conditions for the establishment of Nanchong Academician (Expert) workstation and gave valuable suggestions to the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College on how to use academician (expert) workstation resources.
In his speech after the evaluation, Xie Jianping announced that the first academician workstation of academician Zhao Yuliang was successfully settled in Nanchong and launched in the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College!
He also pointed out that as an affiliated hospital of medical college and a provincial medical center, the hospital has been committed to the construction of regional medical technology innovation center, medical training center, medical and health service demonstration center, medical and health care development center. The establishment of academicians (experts) workstations is an important support for achieving goals, high-precision and excellent quality, and the coordinated development of medical education and research. The National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, led by academician Zhao Yuliang, is a top research institution in China. Its research achievements have broad prospects in energy, environment, materials and biopharmaceuticals. Academician (expert) workstation successfully passed the accreditation and evaluation and will build a high-level innovation-driven platform for the hospital and even the whole city. The Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College will give full play to the strong advantages of the academician team, actively carry out important scientific and technological research, high-level personnel training, scientific research and academic exchanges, continuously improve the hospital's medical research and innovation capabilities, and enhance the core competitiveness of hospital development, provide strong support for regional high-level medical university and the northeastern regional medical center, making new contributions to the development of science, education, culture and health of Nanchong, and accelerating the construction of " the second city in Chengdu-Chongqing greater region".
