On June 25, 2019, led by Wang Yifei, Deputy Secretary General of the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association (SCIMEA), an “Earthquake Relief Supplies Transport Team”, which was composed of the members from the Secretariat of the SCIMEA, and SCIMEA member units Chengdu Sinopharmaceutical Instrument Co., Ltd and Sichuan Multi-point Medical Association Technology Co., Ltd ., hurried to the quake-hit area in Changning County, Yibin City, to donate urgently needed medicines and materials.
Just past 6 o'clock in the morning on the 25th, under the patter of raindrops, the staff of the SCIMEA's Secretariat had already counted the materials prepared in the past few days, and gotten ready to head for Changning County, 263.7 kilometers away. After a trek of about 3 hours, at 11:30 a.m., the SCIMEA team arrived at the Changning County Red Cross Society's temporary donation point. Ding Yunhong, Director of the Poverty Alleviation Office of Changning County Health Bureau, and Tao Kai, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Changning Town Central Hospital, expressed warm welcome and gratitude to the team and held a simple donation ceremony.
In this “Earthquake Relief” material donation campaign, the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association donated medicines and other medical supplies with a worth of over CNY 100,000 to the earthquake-stricken areas in Changning County, Sichuan Province, in the hope that these materials loaded with the care of the Association will alleviate the pressing needs of the hospitals and the people in the disaster areas. In this regard, Director Ding Yunhong of the Changning County Red Cross Society expressed sincere gratitude to the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association for its concern and support for the people in the quake-hit areas.
At 12 o'clock, the “Earthquake Relief Supplies Transport Team” arrived at Changning Town Central Hospital. Aided by the accompanied professionals in installation and commissioning, the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association donated a remote color ultrasound device to the Changning Town Central Hospital. Secretary Tao expressed thanks on behalf of the whole hospital to the Association and hoped to have more opportunities to learn from superior hospitals.
Then, the team headed to the Second People's Hospital of Yibin City without a stop, and was warmly received by Secretary Zhou Hao of the Youth League Committee of the hospital. Witnessed by Secretary Zhou Hao, the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association donated one remote color ultrasound device to the Second People's Hospital of Yibin City as well. Secretary Zhou expressed, on behalf of the hospital, gratitude for the rapid action taken by the Association right after the Yibin earthquake, and said that, it made him vividly feel that the Association is a medical workers' home with attitude and warmth.
