Recently, an expert team of America Mount Sinai Hospital was invited by West China Hospital, Sichuan University, to Sichuan for exchange. Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association participated as co-organizer.

On January 24th, Ding Ning, deputy head of the Wenjiang District Government, Zhang Zhigang and Zhao Lian, deputy directors of the New Economic and Technological Bureau of Wenjiang District, with subordinates recieved the expert team of Mount Sinai Hospital. They arranged a visit of Sichuan Haisco Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Medical City Project in Wenjiang and held a forum for deep exchanges .  Professor Chen Longqi, Executive Vice President, Ms. Zhang Mengfan, Secretary General, and professor Ding Yusen, Deputy Secretary-General of Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association accompanied the visit.

The expert team first visited Sichuan Haisco Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a member of Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association. The company's general manager, Ms. Feng Wei, and the chief scientist, Dr. Xiao Zifan, gave a detailed introduction to the company's situation and led a visit to the laboratory and research base.

Subsequently, the experts arrived at Chengdu International Medical City. The deputy head of Wenjiang District Government, Ding Ning explained the strategic positioning, goals and development strategies of the International Medical City, and mainly introduced the Wenjiang Branch of West China Hospital and the Wenjiang Laboratory of State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy of Sichuan University. The landing of these two projects has played an excellent role in leading and demonstrating the entire medical city, and also attracting a large number of "three medical" enterprises to invest.

After the visit, the Wenjiang District Government, the Mount Sinai experts team and Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association held a three-party discussion.

Ding Ning, the deputy head said that Wenjiang District insists to draw the blueprint of industrial development from a high starting point with a global perspective and international standard, and profoundly grasps the five major development trends of health industry such as biotechnology, medical artificial intelligence, value medical care, whole-course health, and pharmaceutical industry 4.0. Wenjiang District upgrades to create “ The three medical + big data / AI" industrial system, and also integrate with the industrial advantages of application, the novative resources of enrichment and high-quality, the guarantee of the elements of precision supply, and the beautiful and livable life scene. International and domestic experts and organizations are welcome to enter the Medical City to carry out in-depth cooperation and build a community of development interests.

Professor Charles A Powell, Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and CEO of the Mount Sinai National Jewish Institute, introduced the basic situation, branches and dominant disciplines of Mount Sinai Hospital. The Mount Sinai Hospital is located in the heart of New York and is the top 20 US hospital and medical school in US News. The Department of Respiratory Medicine established the Mount Sinai-National Jewish Institute in New York with The National Jewish Institutie, the No. 1 respiratory school in the United States for 12 consecutive years, specializing in the treatment of various respiratory diseases. The Mount Sinai experts team deeply agrees with the development concept, overall layout, industrial structure and related policies of Chengdu International Medical City. The next step will be to build a platform together with the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association and the Medical City Management Committee. The platform specifically discuss the prospects and ideas for the development of drugs and methods related to respiratory diseases and also explore the possibility of helping domestic manufacturers lauch their drugs in the United States.

Professor Chen Longqi, Executive Vice President of Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association, on behalf of the Medical Exchange & Promotion Association, thanked the Wenjiang District Government for its strong support and careful arrangement of this event, and introduced the basic situation, organizational structure and development concept of the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association. He also elaborated the purpose and vision of the Association, highlighted the high-quality resources, and said: We will work hard to integrate resources and strength, and develop together with all parties to advance hand in hand.
