Review of Academic Reports at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, Sichuan University

On April 24, 2019, Professor Jerry L. Workman, members of the United States National Academy of Sciences, researcher at Stowers Institute for Medical Research, and Professor Li Shanshan, doctoral supervisor at Hubei University, gave academic reports at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy.

This report was led by professor Han Junhong, from State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy. In the first report session, professor Jerry L. Workman explained some problems in the field of protein complex modified chromosomes and regulation of gene expression, as well as various histone modification enzyme complexes such as SAGA, Rpd3S, ATAC, SAS, SESAME. It has become a popular research subject in the field of genetics.3.jpg

After professor Jerry L. Workman's report, professor Chen Chong, director of SCIMEA and specialist at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, shared his views and discussed with professor Jerry L. Workman.

In the second report, professor Li Shanshan demonstrated the molecular mechanism of glucose metabolism regulation of aging from the perspective of epigenetic modification (histone modification and DNA methylation) with Saccharomyces cerevisiae and vascular endothelial cells as research objects and explained her recent research.

After professor Li shanshan's report, participants raised their questions, and professor Li gave detailed explanations.
