Convey Benevolence and Solve Problems ▕ SCIMEA MDT Committee – Grassroots Academic Promotion

On September 21, 2019, in order to promote the multidisciplinary research and clinical application of tumor biological immunotherapy, and set up a platform for cancer prevention and control personnel to study tumor biological immunotherapy, promote cooperation and exchange, and improve academic and application skills. "Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association (SCIMEA) Oncology Multidisciplinary Therapy (MDT) Committee - Multidisciplinary Comprehensive Treatment in the Age of Biological Immunotherapy – Grassroots Academic Promotion" was held in Jintang County, Chengdu.

The program was sponsored by SCIMEA, organized by MDT Committee of SCIMEA, and co-organized by Jintang County People's Hospital. Professor Wang Qifeng, deputy director physician, Dr. Wu Lei, Wang Yi, and Liang Long, Zhao Yanqun, associate researcher, and Yao Xinghong, assistant researcher from Sichuan Cancer Hospital, Professor Tan Yanlin, director of the Oncology Department of Jintang County People's Hospital, and other experts in oncology participated in the program.

In the afternoon, the experts were divided into small groups to go to the Oncology Department of Jintang County People's Hospital for teaching ward round and guidance, and conducted comprehensive and in-depth analysis and introduction of the construction of a hospital's oncology department, which was highly recognized and praised by local hospital leaders.

Experts exchanged views on typical cases of lung cancer and esophageal cancer. Zeng Hui, Kang Xia, Zhang Hui, Wang Jilin, Shen Biyu, Zeng Yu, Li Huilin, Xi Jiyuan, Liu Cheng and others participated in the case discussion. Through in-depth analysis and detailed answers to challenging questions, the participants gained a lot of knowledge. It opened up their horizon in biological immunotherapy, established a standardized biological immunotherapy concept in their mind, and improved the level of diagnosis and treatment in these grassroots hospitals.
